Textiles and Treasures

Yesterday Victoria and I hosted a lovely tea featuring her treasures from the south sea islands and my suzanis and ikats from Central Asia.  A wonderful day, weather was cool and we all shared tea on the porches overlooking the most amazing horse pastures. Take a look at our photo album on our facebook page! Ciao!

Back from Palo Alto, CA. and Welcoming my Second Grandson to the World!

Thoughts:

Palo Alto is simply gorgeous!

My son in law and daughter are the most gracious people to have let me stay with them for almost a month to help with Grand Baby #1 and now #2, who was taken to the park daily and spoiled with a visit to the cupcake store, the best vanilla frosting ever, and tiny cakes for tiny hands!

California weather is completely addictive, walking, cycling, and visits into San Francisco were fabulous. The Palo Alto store Draeger’s is the most fun place to grocery shop. It really is a fantasy shopping experience, the wine selections were astonishingly wonderful, and their take out tea sandwiches were perfect to pack in our backpacks for our wagon trips to the hospital where our new little baby was welcomed to the world. It is a healthy and stimulating life style out there. A visit to a Silicon Valley restaurant, “Bucks, ”  for deal makers was a hit, excellent food, service and amazing cars in the parking lot, plus Hollywood memorabilia that would take you back to the Fifties and beyond. What a fun morning! I could go on and on!

But to the point! WE are coming back to ATLANTA first week of May 2012!
